About the role
As a part-time Optical Assistant at Optique Eyecare NZ Ltd, you'll be the friendly face and helping hand at our retail store in Glenfield, Auckland. In this customer-facing role, you'll use your passion for eyewear and excellent service to assist our clients in finding the perfect frames and lenses to suit their needs and style.
What you'll be doing
Providing an outstanding customer experience by greeting clients and understanding their eyewear requirements
Demonstrating and explaining the features of our eyewear range to help customers make informed choices
Assisting with frame selections, measurements, and lens customisation
Handling cash and card payments, and processing orders
Maintaining store appearance and organisation
Supporting the optical team with general administrative tasks
What we're looking for
Previous experience in a customer service or retail role, preferably within the optical industry
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse range of customers
Passion for fashion, design, and helping people look and feel their best
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately
Flexibility to work part-time hours, including evenings and weekends
A friendly, positive, and helpful attitude
