About the Role
We’re looking for someone who combines creativity with initiative. This role suits a self-starter who enjoys generating ideas, understands how content shapes brand perception, and comes prepared with thoughtful insights and enthusiasm.
This is a digital-first, video-led role focused on creating engaging short-form video and strong visual content for OPPO New Zealand’s social and digital channels. You’ll play a key role in how our brand shows up across platforms, creating content that is not only visually compelling but also aligned with campaign and brand objectives.
This role is ideal for someone who thinks in video and visuals, understands platform-native content, and is equally comfortable filming, editing, and designing social-first assets (portfolio required).
What You’ll Do
Short-Form Video Creation (Core Focus)
Concept, script, film, edit, and deliver high-performing short-form video content optimised for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
Create platform-native video using strong hooks, storytelling, pacing, and trend awareness
Produce content at pace while maintaining brand quality and consistency
On-Camera Brand Representation
Confidently represent OPPO on camera, communicating brand personality, energy, and values in an authentic and engaging way
Graphic Design & Visual Content
Design social-first graphics and visual assets for digital campaigns, including social posts, stories, email assets, web banners, POSM, and basic motion graphics
Adapt and localise campaign assets to suit platform formats and audience behaviour
Performance & Optimisation
Review content performance and use insights to improve future video and visual output
Test formats, styles, and creative approaches to continuously evolve OPPO’s digital presence
Campaign & Content Development
Contribute creative ideas for product launches, campaigns, and always-on content
Translate briefs and objectives into effective, visually engaging digital content
Collaboration & Asset Management
Work closely with marketing, design, and sales teams to ensure brand alignment
Manage digital assets and support external suppliers where required
What You’ll Bring
Proven experience creating short-form video content for social platforms
Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, including what performs and why
Demonstrated ability to structure video using hooks, storytelling, and pacing
Confidence filming and presenting on camera
Strong graphic design skills using Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator)
Strong video editing skills using Premiere Pro or equivalent tools (Final Cut, CapCut, etc.)
Ability to interpret performance metrics and iterate content accordingly
Experience owning content from idea through to delivery
Photography skills and basic motion graphics experience
Interest in consumer technology or mobile devices
A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and take ownership
