At OCULA Wanaka, we’re looking for a Retail Manager to lead our store and clinical team. No optical experience is required — we provide full training and support to help you build a rewarding career alongside our optometrists, optical assistants and dispensing opticians.
Many of our leaders come from fashion, hospitality, and premium retail backgrounds before developing specialist expertise in the optical industry.
If you bring strong management experience, a passion for sales, and a desire to lead a high-performing team, we’d love to hear from you.
Lead the Wanaka Store Team
Manage and inspire a team of 5–7 people, including retail staff and clinical support.
Oversee the entire retail and clinical store operation.
Lead daily store performance including service, sales and team engagement.
Coach and develop team members to deliver exceptional customer care.
Foster a positive, collaborative and high-performing team culture.
Drive Sales & Customer Experience
Deliver outstanding customer experiences in a premium eyewear environment.
Guide customers through eyewear styling, frame selection and lens solutions.
Support the patient journey alongside our in-store optometrists.
Maintain high standards of merchandising and store presentation.
Help drive store growth through strong sales leadership.
Build a Career in the Optical Industry
Receive full training in optical dispensing – no prior optical experience required.
Work alongside experienced dispensing opticians, optometrists and optical assistants.
Access structured online learning and hands-on support from our National Training Manager.
Develop toward becoming a registered Dispensing Optician through an apprentice-style pathway.
Build a specialised career in healthcare retail with strong future earning potential.
