About the role
Join Pixel as a full-time Video Technician based in Christchurch. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality events to support clients across a range of jobs throughout New Zealand.
What you'll be doing
Operate video equipment during live events for a variety of client projects
Prepare equipment and plans using industry-standard software, ensuring high quality results
Collaborate with our clients, contractors and creative teams to bring their visions to life through video technology
Assist in the general running of the business and maintaining processes within Pixel
Ensure all video deliverables meet client specifications and deadlines
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for video-related equipment and software
Continuously research and stay up to date with the latest video production trends and technologies
What we're looking for
A 'can do' attitude and not afraid of physical work
Experience in the events industry and technical roles
Strong proficiency in video systems for LED screens and projection
Excellent understanding of video production workflows and how events work
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality events
Strong attention to detail
Adaptable and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
Passion for the latest event technology and a desire to continuously learn and improve
Ability to grow into other aspects of the business, 3D modelling, client and crew management, content creation, electronic system design and repair, event management and logistics
