About the opportunity:
This is a varied and exciting role for someone who is interested in ophthalmology and who enjoys being part of a team providing essential ophthalmic services to provide life changing eye care for our patients.
You will be responsible for:
Assessing patients and performing preliminary tests prior to the patient seeing the specialist
Triaging referrals
Liaising with the specialist and administration team to accommodate acute patients into ophthalmic clinics
Assisting with minor procedures as required
Ensuring all clinic consult rooms are adequately stocked
Our ideal candidate will have:
Prior Ophthalmic experience is required i.e Optical Retail Assistant, Dispencing Assistant or Optical Sales Assistant
Attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong level of computer literacy
This is a full time rostered role, working 40 hours a week between the hours of 7am to 6pm - Monday to Friday
