About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi

As Digital Content Manager, you will set, own, and continuously evolve ACC's digital content and channel strategy, ensuring content is used as a strategic lever to improve customer experience, enable behaviour change, and enhance ACC's reputation.

This is a senior leadership role where you will lead a multi‑disciplinary digital content team and provide strategic advice to senior leaders across the organisation. You'll shape how ACC plans, governs, creates and delivers content across key digital channels including our website, social media, email, SMS, video and other digital platforms.

You'll play a pivotal role in how customers interact with ACC - ensuring people receive the right information, at the right time, through the right channels - while supporting organisational priorities and ACC's long‑term strategy.

This is a manager‑level leadership role within the External Engagement function. Applicants should demonstrate significant experience leading high‑performing teams in complex digital or communications environments.

About you | Mōu

We're looking for an experienced digital and content leader who thrives in complexity, brings strategic clarity, and enjoys building capable, engaged teams.

We encourage you to apply if you have many (though not necessarily all) of the following:

  • Significant experience leading digital content, digital marketing, or engagement teams in a large or complex organisation
  • Strong people leadership capability, including developing senior specialists and building sustainable team capability
  • Deep, current understanding of digital channels (web, social media, email, SMS, video) and content strategy
  • Experience delivering public‑facing content that supports measurable customer, behavioural or organisational outcomes
  • Knowledge of government digital standards, including accessibility (WCAG), plain language, privacy and user‑centred design
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and work collaboratively across multiple functions
  • Strong strategic thinking, with the ability to lead through ambiguity, change and competing priorities
  • Excellent communication skills, sound judgement, and a reputation‑conscious, customer‑centred mindset

We value potential and growth. If you bring the leadership mindset, strategic capability, and passion to make a difference, we'd love to hear from you.
