About The Role:

At Tuatahi, data is used to drive smarter decisions and better customer outcomes. We are looking for a Senior Customer Insights Analyst to lead the development and application of customer and market insight across proposition, pricing, customer delivery and care, product, and go-to-market strategy.

Reporting to the Customer Proposition Lead, you will turn complex customer, market, and behavioural data into clear, actionable recommendations that influence growth, retention, customer value, and overall business performance. This is a senior role with a high degree of autonomy for someone who combines analytical expertise, stakeholder influence, and strong commercial judgement.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead customer and market insight: deliver deep-dive analysis into customer behaviour, lifecycle performance, churn, uptake, ARPU, customer value, and growth drivers.

  • Turn insight into action: translate complex analysis into clear recommendations that inform proposition, pricing, acquisition, retention, and customer experience decisions.

  • Build forward-looking models: design and apply customer segmentation, predictive, and scenario-based models to identify risks, opportunities, and likely outcomes.

  • Deliver competitor and market intelligence: track competitor pricing, propositions, technology shifts, and market dynamics, then convert them into practical business responses.

  • Strengthen reporting and analytical integrity: define and monitor key customer metrics, partner on dashboards and reporting, and validate assumptions by interrogating source data.

  • Influence and uplift capability: partner with stakeholders across sales, marketing, product, finance, commercial, and customer operations to embed insight-led decision-making.

You'll have the autonomy to shape priorities, challenge assumptions, and focus effort where it delivers the most value for the business and our customers.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • 5 to 10 years' experience in customer insights, analytics, commercial analysis, or a related field.

  • Strong capability in SQL, Power BI, and other relevant analytical or visualisation tools, including the ability to interrogate underlying data.

  • Proven experience in customer segmentation, predictive modelling, forecasting, scenario analysis, or other forward-looking analytical approaches.

  • Strong commercial judgement, able to translate customer and market data into actionable recommendations linked to growth, retention, value, and performance.

  • Clear communicator, able to turn complex analysis into dashboards, reports, presentations, and plain-language recommendations.
