About The Role:

We are looking for a skilled OSS Software Engineer to join our Network Operations team. In this role, you will apply your software development expertise to solve real-world problems across our telecommunications network - automating repetitive tasks, integrating systems, and improving network observability and performance.

You will design and build automation pipelines, develop custom integrations across OSS platforms, and take ownership of configuring and optimising our network monitoring and performance tools (like LogicMonitor, OpenNMS, and Accedian). Your work will directly influence how we detect, respond to, and prevent network issues at scale.

This is an ideal role for a developer who thrives in complex technical environments, enjoys solving system-level challenges, and wants to work on solutions that impact thousands of customers across Aotearoa.

Skills and Experience Required:

We are after someone with a strong development foundation who understands the telco landscape. If you tick most of the boxes below, we would love to hear from you:

· 3+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in backend systems or infrastructure tools.

· Experience with scripting and programming languages (e.g., C#, Go, Python, Bash).

· Comfortable working with SQL databases and large-scale data handling.

· Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and build maintainable systems.

· Exposure to tools / platforms such as LogicMonitor, OpenNMS, ServiceNow ITSM, ServiceNow ITOM, Cacti would be beneficial but no essential

· Experience working with containerization (Docker) is a plus.
