We are seeking an experienced and values-driven Marketing, Digital & Communications Manager to lead our marketing, digital and communications function at a critical time of organisational transformation and growth.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and leading a small, capable team, this leadership role is responsible for strengthening our brand, enhancing digital performance, and driving measurable impact across community engagement, fundraising, and retail outcomes.

Mo te tunga | About the role
You’ll be responsible for shaping and delivering an integrated marketing, digital and communications strategy aligned to organisational priorities. This includes:
- Leading brand strategy, organisational narrative and reputation management
- Strengthening community understanding of hospice care and improving access
- Driving digital strategy across web, social, CRM, fundraising and e-commerce
- Optimising customer and supporter journeys for engagement and conversion
- Delivering integrated, multi-channel campaigns that support revenue growth
- Embedding data-led decision making with clear performance metrics and reporting
- Leading media engagement and building organisational visibility and credibility
- Developing internal communications frameworks to support alignment and change
- Advising the Senior Leadership Team on positioning, messaging and risk
This is a full-time position. You will work across all Harbour Hospice locations, with Hibiscus Hospice as your primary base.

You have a proven track record of driving digital performance, aligning marketing activity to measurable outcomes, and leading high-performing teams. Confident advising senior stakeholders, you bring a data-led approach and a collaborative style that enables impact across diverse functions. You’re motivated by purpose and committed to inclusive, community-focused engagement. You bring:
- Proven leadership of marketing and digital functions with measurable results
- Strong data-driven mindset with experience in analytics, optimisation and ROI
- Ability to align strategy with revenue and organisational objectives
- Collaborative, adaptable and able to deliver in complex environments

Harbour Hospice is one of the largest hospices in Aotearoa caring for people across the North Shore, Hibiscus Coast and Warkworth/Wellsford regions. We support and provide holistic care to people in their homes, in one of our two inpatient units, or in community programmes offered at each of our three sites.
