Te āheinga: The opportunity

We are looking for a New Zealand-registered Medical Imaging Technologist to join the School of Healthcare. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the undergraduate Medical Imaging programme through high-quality teaching, research, student engagement, and academic and pastoral support.

This position is ideal for a practitioner who is curious about teaching. It also presents a rewarding opportunity for an experienced Medical Imaging lecturer looking to broaden their knowledge and gain insight into teaching within a different academic setting. You will be part of a highly collaborative team, delivering course content and mentoring students, while gaining valuable experience in tertiary teaching within a supportive environment.

If you are looking to broaden your professional scope this role provides a meaningful way to engage with the next generation of Medical Imaging practitioners while developing your own teaching capabilities.

Key Teaching Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality course content within the undergraduate Medical Imaging programme.
  • Provide academic and pastoral support to students, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and enhance student learning experiences.

You will have:

  • An understanding or desire to learn te reo Māori, tikanga Māori, and the values and practices of kaupapa Māori
  • Evidence of active engagement in building diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplaces/environments

You will be:

  • A NZ-registered Medical Imaging Technologist with broad clinical experience
  • Committed to evidence-based practice and academic excellence
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality learning and teaching
