We are supporting a great organisation with an exciting opportunity for Data & Analytics specialists with a passion for visualisation and modern platforms to work alongside their valued clients throughout New Zealand and Australia.
The specialist will work as part of an agile team and be responsible for understanding data needs and creating, interpreting, and supporting analytical data driven solutions for clients with a focus on data modernisation and visualisation.
This role is well suited to someone who thrives on connecting with clients and partners, building trusted relationships, and taking the lead in your specialist area.
You can expect to:
- Participate in scoping, designing and implementation of Data & analytics solutions to clients across various technologies.
- Support Customer development and opportunities.
- Analyse and understand clients’ data, their business and data requirements.
- Develop and support client requirements and solutions in various Data technologies including Power BI, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Fabric and Snowflake.
- Support requirement analysis and participate in client facing discovery workshops.
- Supporting and interpreting existing SQL stored procedures.
- Creating data products using objects such as stored procedures, tables and views.
What you'll bring: - 3+ years’ experience in the IT industry
- 2+ Years’ experience in Data & Analytics technologies such as PowerBI, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks or Snowflake.
- A strong understanding of SQL query development, optimise SQL queries and advise on performance enhancements.
- A strong understanding of Data Warehousing and/or Lakehouse concepts, data modelling and metadata management.
- A strong understanding of visualisation techniques, PowerBI and knowledge of DAX.
- Experience modelling and implementation of roles, databases, and schemas.
- Knowledge of data ingestion using ETL and ELT design techniques.
To be successful in this role, you will have proven client-facing and delivery experience, with the ability to build trusted relationships and consistently meet or exceed client commitments. You will be a strong communicator and collaborative team player, capable of managing competing priorities and delivering high-quality outcomes at pace, as well as demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional and personal development.
Some nice-to-haves:
- Microsoft Certification in Business Intelligence or Data Analysis.
- Microsoft Azure familiarisation and certification
- Experience in designing and building Azure Data Factory processes
- Experience in using and configuring Fabric and/or Snowflake Data Lakes.
- Knowledge and/or experience coding in Python
- Experience in DBT and/or Coalesce
