Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The Opportunity
As our Marketing Automation Manager, you'll play the key hands-on role in how Chorus uses Salesforce Marketing Cloud, working closely with business teams to turn customer communications, lifecycle journeys and lead nurture needs into practical marketing automation solutions. You'll configure, build, test and improve activity in the platform, helping stakeholders understand what's possible and how to use marketing automation well.
You'll work closely with Marketing Managers, Product Managers, Customer Experience, Digital and Technology teams to design and deliver customer communications, lifecycle journeys and lead nurture programmes that create better experiences for our customers and support business outcomes.
This is a highly collaborative role where you'll bring together business needs, customer insights and platform capability to recommend solutions, improve ways of working and strengthen how we use marketing automation across Chorus.
Beyond day-to-day delivery in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, you'll have input into where our marketing automation is heading. Working alongside business teams, you'll surface opportunities, help inform the roadmap, and grow your capability across newer Salesforce tools such as Data Cloud (Data 360) and Marketing Cloud Next as we adopt them over time.

You'll bring hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience, a curious mindset, and the drive to spot opportunities others might miss. You're comfortable building trusted partnerships and turning business needs into practical, well-crafted automation solutions.
We're looking for someone who combines platform expertise with strong communication skills - someone who actively looks for better ways to use marketing automation to improve customer experiences and business outcomes, rather than waiting to be asked.
In addition, you'll bring:
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud expertise spanning campaigns, journeys and automated customer communications.
- Experience with lead nurture, lifecycle marketing, customer engagement and personalisation.
- A collaborative style that works well across business and technical teams.
- Confidence proactively sharing platform capabilities, opportunities and recommendations.
- Curiosity about using customer data, segmentation and insights to improve campaign performance.
- Understanding of privacy, consent and communication governance requirements.
- Demonstrated experience identifying opportunities to improve customer outcomes, platform performance and ways of working.
- Ability to balance BAU delivery with continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience working with agency or delivery partners would be advantageous.
