What we're looking for:

We are looking for a proactive and skilled IT Operations Technician to keep our technology infrastructure ship-shape, so our customers and team get the best service.

As the first line of defence and support for all technical queries across the business, daily tasks will be varied, ensuring the smooth running of our entire IT ecosystem:

· Act as the first point of contact for all Marine Deals staff needing technical assistance, providing timely and effective support.

· Stage and deploy new Windows desktops and laptops, ensuring they are configured to our standards.

· Stage and deploy Android devices used across our operational teams.

· Configure and maintain a wide range of printer device types.

· Setting up and troubleshooting core network infrastructure, including servers, routers, and switches.

· Perform routine maintenance on a variety of computer and networking devices, ensuring all systems are consistently updated and secure.

· Maintain accurate records of IT assets.

· Identify opportunities to improve IT processes and infrastructure.

Key attributes:

We're looking for someone with a strong foundation in IT, a passion for problem-solving, and a proactive attitude:

· 2+ years of IT experience is highly desirable (but not essential).

· Solid understanding of core networking concepts: DNS, DHCP, LAN/WiFi, IP, routing, switching, and all things networks.

· Experience with Ubiquiti or similar networking platforms

· Familiarity with Windows Server environments and basic administration tasks.

· Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and support

· Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills - you love a good technical challenge!

· Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to clearly explain technical issues to non-technical users.

· High attention to detail and accuracy in all configuration and documentation work.

· Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

· A proactive, adaptable mindset, willing to put in the effort and work overtime when required to resolve critical issues or complete projects.
