Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, the Chief Digital Officer will play a critical role in developing a digital strategy for the future with a focus on system and platform improvement and usage, AI, and ensuring services are fit-for-purpose. There will also need to be better digital visibility a the ELT table.
As CDO, you will be a key strategic adviser to the Chief Executive, Board and Executive Leadership Team, providing the digital strategy and leadership insights that enables BCITO to achieve its ambitious goals.
Your portfolio will include:
- Digital strategy and vision
- Customer-centric design and delivery
- Technology, data and infrastructure
- Digital roadmap and portfolio management
- People leadership
- Internal communications and stakeholder engagement
- Contributing to the ELT and organisational leadership
About you:
- Digital, technology or product leadership at a senior or executive level
- Significant people leadership of high-performing, multi-disciplinary teams
- Deep knowledge of modern digital delivery, agile and product-led development, cloud architecture, cybersecurity, data strategy, AI and enterprise systems
- Strong analytical capability
- Experienced at managing vendor relationships and procurement processes
- Skilled at navigating organisational complexity
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present to non-technical stakeholders

- A collaborative leadership style that builds trust and credibility across diverse stakeholder groups
