The Senior Financial Analyst - FP&A is responsible for providing budgeting, forecasting and financial analytics support to the business to ensure that financial decisions are well grounded. Additionally, this role will provide an opportunity to learn about and participate in the deployment and improvement of processes.
This position is part of the Quaestor Consultant Group’s FP&A team which is responsible for periodic forecasting and periodic planning processes for select businesses and providing support to the senior management team.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Compile forecasting and budgeting processes for select businesses.
- Work with business and functional leaders to analyze actual results versus expectations and build accurate future expectations.
- Work directly with business managers and functional leaders to develop and implement periodic metrics and reporting packages, distilling complex data into the salient points.
- Work with high degrees of uncertainty with a keen business acumen and be comfortable and effective at engaging personnel at all levels of an organization (CEO to AP clerk) to solicit and convey information.
- Approximately 30% of this role is spent travelling to support relevant business units (Quaestor will provide paid travel accommodations).
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance and/or Accounting, an MBA is a plus.
- 5-7 years of progressive financial experience, including periodic planning (budget & subsequent annual forecast) experience, periodic reporting / presentation experience, and financial modeling (income statement [IS]/ balance sheet [BS]/ cash flow [CF]).
- Intellectually curious, with solid communication skills and the ability to problem-solve financial data and advise management on outcomes utilizing a sound knowledge of GAAP.
- Possess a high degree of initiative and resourcefulness in completing work with limited guidance in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required, as well as experience with other Microsoft Office products.
