About the Company
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Restructuring Leader with a strong background as a Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO) and extensive experience in business development. This role is critical in driving new client acquisition, expanding business opportunities, and leading complex restructuring engagements.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in financial restructuring, turnaround strategies, and bankruptcy advisory while maintaining a sharp focus on business development.
Responsibilities
Business Development (80%)
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the restructuring and turnaround industry.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with lenders, private equity firms, law firms, and distressed businesses.
- Drive revenue growth by expanding service offerings and securing high-value engagements.
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
Restructuring & Delivery (20%)
- Act as a trusted CRO in restructuring situations, providing strategic leadership and execution guidance.
- Lead financial and operational restructuring projects, including liquidity management, cost optimization, and stakeholder negotiations.
- Advise clients on Chapter 11, out-of-court restructurings, and distressed M&A situations.
- Work closely with internal teams and external advisors to develop and implement turnaround plans.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in restructuring, turnaround management, and financial advisory.
- Proven track record of successful business development within the restructuring and distressed advisory space.
- Strong understanding of bankruptcy proceedings, Chapter 11 filings, and out-of-court restructurings.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate at a high level in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.
- CPA, CFA, CIRA, or similar financial certifications are a plus.
